Artist Bio: John Lone Eagle, known to his friends as
Eagle, joined Brulé in 2001. As with all good things, Eagle's meeting
with Brulé was such an unexpected but timely event, that fate surely
intervened. Eagle spent many of his early years riding bulls in the rodeo
and traveling the pow wow circuit as a fancy dancer. Now retired from
both, Eagle formed a well-known southern traditional drum group, which
he still performs with regularly. Eagle is a 1983 college graduate from
Baylor University where he majored in business and played baseball. He
went on to play major league baseball with the San Diego Padres from 1986
to 1987. Over the years, Eagle has enjoyed extreme sports like skydiving,
secured numerous bit parts in movies, and still works as a part-time model.
Eagle carries the traditional elements of Brulé very well and is
a solid drummer and great role model for the culture. John is originally
from Oklahoma but today resides in Tennessee where he also manages his
