South Dakota Group BRULE and AIRO Receive Group of the Year & Best New Age Recording at the Ninth Annual Native American Music Awards The Only group to recieve multiple awards at the 2007 NAMA.


Indian Rock Opera) received the prestigious awards for Group of the Year and Best New Age Recording. The group also performed before a sold out audience at the Awards Ceremony held at the Seneca Niagara Casino & Resort in Niagara Falls, NY on Saturday, October 6th, 2007. Brule and AIRO were nominated for a collective total of 5 Awards through the Native American Music Academy. Winners of the Ninth Annual Native American Music Awards were determined through membership print ballots and a national voting campaign open to the general public through the Nammy’s website at www.nativeamericanmusicawards.com

Hidden Heritage,the Story of Paul LaRoche, is set for release by Beavers Pond Press, Minneapolis, July 1. LaRoche is best know as Brule, one of the top-selling Native American recording artists with more than a million CDs sold worldwide. Brule and his award-winning band, AIRO (American Indian Rock Opera), tour the US with approximately 100 or more appearances each year.
